Travel notes

Practical
for the road.

Arrival by air
Most guests fly Kathmandu to Bhadrapur (BDP), about 55 minutes. The road from BDP to Omnia is roughly 45 km and around an hour. We arrange a comfortable, climate-controlled pickup on request.
Driving from Kathmandu
By road, the Mahendra Highway (NH01) covers about 574 km. Allow 12 to 14 hours realistically. Most travellers prefer to fly into Bhadrapur and use Omnia as the road-trip base from here onward.
Cross-border to India
Kakarbhitta is about an hour east of Damak. Indian and Nepali nationals pass freely; other passports may need a permit. Local taxis to Siliguri, Darjeeling and Gangtok are easy to find at the border.
Best season
October through April is dry and cool. November to February is peak winter clarity for Kanchenjunga views and tea garden walks. Avoid the May to September monsoon if you can. The rooftop plunge pool is heated either way.
